1. Price and stablecoin risk
USDT is designed to track the US dollar, but it can lose its peg (“de-peg”), temporarily or permanently, because of issuer, reserve, legal or market events. The INR value of USDT also moves with exchange rates and market demand. You could receive less INR than you paid.
2. P2P counterparty risk
Your counterparty is another user or merchant, not P2PINR. They may pay late, pay the wrong amount, reverse a payment, or act dishonestly. Our escrow and dispute process reduce this risk but cannot remove it, and disputes can take time to resolve while funds stay locked.
3. Bank and UPI account freezes
If money you receive is linked by police or a bank to a cyber-crime or fraud complaint — even one you had nothing to do with — your bank or UPI account can be frozen, sometimes for a long time. Only accept payments from the account holder named on the order, keep statements and order records, and never trade outside the platform.
4. Blockchain transfers are irreversible
Deposits and withdrawals on the blockchain cannot be reversed. Sending to the wrong address, or using the wrong network or token (for example ERC-20 or TRC-20 instead of BEP-20), can mean permanent loss. Always check the address and network before you send.
5. Regulatory uncertainty in India
The law on crypto assets in India is still developing. New taxes, reporting rules, restrictions or bans could affect your ability to buy, sell, hold or withdraw, and the value of your holdings. You are responsible for your own tax obligations, including TDS and income tax on crypto transfers.
6. Custody and platform risk
While USDT is on P2PINR, it is held in custody on your behalf. Hacks, operational errors, insolvency, legal orders or technical failures could delay access or cause loss. Crypto held on a platform is not a bank deposit and is not covered by deposit insurance.
7. Optional programmes
Stakes lock your USDT until the unlock date. Any earning or referral rewards are variable, not guaranteed, and may be reduced or stopped. Locked funds cannot be used or withdrawn until the lock ends.
8. Not investment advice
Nothing on P2PINR — including rates, charts, notifications or messages from staff — is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Make your own decisions and seek independent advice if you are unsure.
